First a little information about Lake Tahoe



Lake Tahoe is a large ( well really its massive) freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains of the US, Its located along the border between California and Nevada at its major bend west of Carson City. Lake Tahoe is known for clarity of water and the surrounding mountains on all sides. Tahoe contains a number of ski resorts and summer outdoor recreation.

During winter or ski season, hundreds of people from Nevada, California, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area hit the slopes for some of the best skiing in the world. In addition to its panoramic scenery, it is well known for blizzards.

During summer season, water sports and beach activities are popular. Two cities you will want to visit and are most related with the lake’s tourist area, are South Lake Tahoe, California and a slightly smaller Stateline, Nevada; other noteworthy centers on the north shoreline include Tahoe City and Kings Beach.

Boating, is the primary activity at Lake Tahoe in the summer, and is known worldwide. Lakefront restaurants are located all over, and most are equipped with docks and buoys Also there are many boating events, such as sailboat racing, firework, cruises, and more. Other activities enjoyed at Lake Tahoe include Hiking, mountain biking, and gambling.
